Speaking of Giving

TSM Design is currently assisting three Springfield-based non-profits with their fundraising efforts. One is a five-year capital campaign. Another is designed to build capacity. The third is a challenge campaign.

Promise Realized

Springfield City Library advances literacy, education, civic participation and cultural awareness for all City residents. The Library’s East Forest Park branch is the system’s second busiest branch, serving 45,550 patrons last year alone. This, despite its location in the former 4,100 square foot video store in a strip mall. The Promise Realized capital campaign will finish out the remaining $2 million necessary to build a new $9.5 million, state-of-the-art library for the neighborhood. This project has already received $4.9 million from the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissions and a commitment from the City for $2.6 million.

It’s About U

The South End Community Center is more than a building. For some of Springfield’s youth, it’s a safe place to go and connect with other kids after school. For others, it’s means being part of a sports team, with all of the wonderful resulting benefits. For many others, it’s home. The South End Community Center has been waiting for a new home since the June 2011 tornado destroyed its previous home. The new, South End Community Center represents 50 years of hard work and resolve based on a deep and abiding love for Springfield and its kids. Now, the community has an opportunity to provide the Center with funds to build organizational capacity.

The many faces of Libertas Academy

Libertas Academy charter school is the result of one man’s big, audacious goal level the playing field for kids in economically challenged zip codes. Having opened in August 2016, the school is preparing 6th graders to succeed in the classroom and as engaged citizens in their community. The school has an ambitious plan for performance, growth and expansion to serve students in grades 6-12. Executing this plan will require significant financial resources. A generous donor has issued a $90,000 challenge grant The Libertas story is compelling and the ask is clear.

TSM Design is privileged to work with amazing people who routinely do immense good. For each of these organizations, our work includes developing the campaign theme, building the case and creating related materials to help make their fundraising efforts successful. Keep an eye out for them and please support their good work as you are able.
