WEST SPRINGFIELD – The Eastern States Exposition unveiled a new logo Thursday with an old-fashioned design fitting for an institution celebrating its 98th year.
Eastern States President and CEO Eugene J. Cassidy unveiled the new logo design at a news conference Thursday where he also announced that the fair has a $479 million economic impact on the region. The news conference occurred prior to a meeting of the expositions boards of the directors and trustees.
TSM Design of Springfield came up with the new logo for the Eastern States Exposition which features turn-of-the-20th-century flourishes and cursive word “Exposition” was designed for the Big E. Other TSM clients include Hasbro and Westfield Gas & Electric and Baystate Health, UMass, The City of Hartford, United Way of Pioneer Valley, and Westfield Bank.
The first Big E was in 1916.
